Exercise can help both you and your dog de-stress after a long day. Especially if you’re in a desk job where you sit behind a computer all day, exercise is a great way to stretch your muscles and release some of that pent up energy that your body’s holding. It’s the same for your dog – if your dog has been laying around indoors all day while you’re at work, it’s likely to be fidgety, wound up, and agitated.

Even going for a sprint around the park will stretch both yours and your dog’s muscles and get those endorphins flowing. Sometimes Keeda and I engage in what I call “freestyle” exercise – we run, jump, and wrestle at the nearby neighborhood park. This unstructured activity can really helps us release some of the stress that’s built up in us throughout the day. An excited rush of activity is just what many dogs and people need after a day of sitting or laying around or concentrating on the computer.
